My supervisor Dale just had a baby this last weekend. Well, he didn't...his wife did. They sent out pictures of a very adorable 8+ lb baby. I'm really looking forward to meeting our kid and taking a bajillion (if you look it up, it's somewhere between a million and a googleplex) pictures which I can then upload to the web.
Speaking of pictures, we're getting a digital camera. We decided that, what with Squirt on the way and the rumor that a friend went through 12 rolls of film between the birth and getting the baby home, we would probably save a lot of money. Not to mention how much easier it will be to upload pictures to our website. Between selling duplicates of all of our books and cds and stuff, and a little taken from our monstrous tax refund, and after finding a pretty good deal online, we purchased a Canon Digital Rebel which looks pretty much like my current non-digital camera and will take all of its lenses and such. It arrives on Wednesday, which means that we'll have it for our trip up to Morrow Bay coming up soon. I'm on the edge of my seat.
