Brigid made her two grandmothers very happy this week by learning their names. "Maa-ma!" says Brie, as we climb the stairs to Mom S's home. "Maa-maw!" (the first syllable rhymes with "baa" as in "baa, baa, black sheep")
It's fun, because it sounds like her name for me, except that there's a definite vowel differentiation between the two syllables.
"Grandpa" had come a few weeks ago, but it's transforming this week into something like "Maa-paw". I think she's using an "m" sound instead of an "n", and then just skipping all the hard parts. :)
Anyway, there are now two very happy women out here, who have now added to their already impressive lists of names.
