Brigid's days are very full now. Since I haven't done it in awhile, here's a list of things Brie does daily or almost daily and things she thinks are fun:
-playing the piano. She does this until she disobeys the "bottom on the bench" rule, and then music time's at an end.
-blowing bubbles. Which she can do by herself, but she also likes us to do it so she can pop them. Our bubble jug has several cherry tomatoes in the bottom of it because Brie figured out that they fit through the mouth of the jug, and I decided they could just stay put.
-climbing her slide, and crowing from the top and sliding down.
-tag. This involves Adam or I chasing her menacingly, and her standing stock still till we catch up and tickle her. Then she runs a ways, and looks back to make sure we're going to tackle her again.
-horsey. Guess who's the horse? MY dad taught me this one.
-Reading books.
-babbling.
-pulling dishclothes out of their drawer and cleaning things with them. (No, I'm not kidding.)
-doing dishes with me. (she sits on her side of the double sink and tries to figure out how to turn on the faucet, which I've learned to rubber-band so that it won't turn on.)
-talking. A lot.
-climbing on furniture.
-throwing balls and frisbees.
-playing in the flowerbeds.
-swinging.
-taking her bibs out of the drawers
-taking tupperware out of the drawers
-bringing us our shoes and insisting that we put them on. "ooo! ooo!"
-sticking out her tongue.
-making faces.
-being cute on purpose (yes, she's figured it out).
-playing with dogs. trying to get close enough to cats to play with them.
-running around and waving her hands over her head and yelling, "ablalablala!"
-kissing babies (and sometimes Daddy and Mommy)
-singing along at church
-finding belly buttons on herself and others
-barking along when the neighbor's dog barks
-taking things off of shelves
-sticking keys into anything that remotely resembles a keyhole (so THIS is why we have outlet covers!)
-playing the harmonica
-asking US to play the harmonica
-asking us for anything she sees that looks interesting. "Dease? Dease?" "Please WHAT? What are you looking at, child?"
-climbing up and down stairs
-putting things on her head and round her neck
-identifying her Aunt Laurel in pictures. ("Ah-Roo! Ah-Roo!")
There's more of course, but hopefully that gives you a bit of a picture of the enthusiasm and action-packed hours that fill our household on a daily basis.
