Today Adam and I had lunch by the university's bell tower. Brigid had very patiently obeyed our instruction to "stay on the grass" till lunch was over, even though the fountain in the nearby courtyard beckoned to her the whole time. She waited leaning forward towards the splashing water, eagerness in every muscle. When I said, "Okay, go!" and waved my hand, I felt like I was releasing a falcon to hunt, and the effect was as instantaneous. It was as if energy sprung from the wave of my hand into her body as she leaped forward towards her goal.
The group of ladies passing by laughed.
