We didn't post about it while it was happening (because we were too busy having fun), but Grandpa S. came out to visit last week, and it was a blast. He got to meet his grandson for the first time, and we all went to the zoo, and he and Adam got to woodwork, and we did lots of good ol' hanging out. (We also all got to experience the horror of rush hour freeway traffic together, but we're trying to forget that part.)
One of the coolest things about the visit, I think, is that Brie is old enough to remember him now. She kept talking about him after he left, and was able to talk to him on the phone today with a perfect memory of who he is. It's cool to have her at an age where events stick in her head!
