Evening Prayer, according to Samuel

Lately, Sam has started saying his bedtime prayers with the rest of us. After we say the Lord's Prayer, and recite the Apostle's Creed, we all pray for family. Brie usually prays for her Aunt Rho, in a concise prayer that she made up herself and has memorized: "Dear Lord, please bless Aunt Rho and give her good night's sleeps." Occasionally she condescends to include "Uncle Yoshimoto Josh" in the prayer too.

Samuel, on the other hand, thinks he should pray for EVERYONE. Adam tries to lead Sam in his prayers, and it usually goes something like this:

Adam: Sam, who do you want to pray for?
Sam: Ba-pa.
Adam: Grandpa. Okay. Say, "Dear Lord,"
Sam: Lord.
Adam: "please bless"
Sam: Bess.
Adam: "Grandpa"
Sam: Ba-pa.
Adam: "Amen."
Sam: a' Maw-maw.
Adam: Okay. "And Grandma."
Sam: Maw-maw.
Adam: "Amen"
Sam: Au' Rho?
Adam: "And Aunt Rho."
Sam: Au' Rho.
Adam: "Amen."
Sam: Un' Dosh?
Adam: Okaaaaay. "And Uncle Josh."
Sam: A' Un' Dosh.
Adam: "A-MEN."
Sam: Bee-Bee?
Adam: "And Brie-Brie. A-MEN."
Sam: A-buh-duh-buh-duh.
Adam: AMEN.
Sam: Ah-main.

It's really funny hearing Adam keep trying to bring the prayer to a close, and Samuel continue to list names of people who simply MUST be prayed for. I think he's going to be a great man of God, mighty in prayer.
